Sweetness Products is a company born out of a broadening collective consciousness. The Sweetness vision is to bring global women's traditions into a relevant, fashionable framework in the contemporary marketplace.  As the marketplace becomes increasingly global, we have the opportunity to connect to the value and history of cultures all across the world. The Sweetness Products mission is to re-envision traditional products and garments in a distinctly fashionable and contemporary way.

The Business Concept

Sweetness opened for business in 2005, successfully introducing its signature line of maternity-related garments in the US and Canada.  With clarity of focus, modest resources, and an available market, Sweetness has achieved moderate success in less than two years. 

The Company’s first phase has provided the information necessary to launch Phase Two.  Through our experience over the past two years, we have a clear understanding of the market and what it will take to secure Sweetness’ greatest success.

In 2007 Sweetness will be re-launched as a full lifestyle brand, in response to and cognizant that the current consumer climate demands more of its vendors than it used to.  Beyond offering a product line, a successful company has to provide the consumer with an experience.  Today’s consumer requires that their purchase is a part of a story, and that they are included in that story.

The Sweetness customer is informed, aware and attracted to beauty and fine things.  She recognizes that what she buys is an important assertion of who she is.  She is drawn to Sweetness because it is stylish and relevant and its products are made of the highest quality materials and artfully crafted.

The Product Line, Opportunity and Strategy

Our products are born of the stories of women all over the world and throughout history; re-envisioned to support and inspire the customer in the here and now.

In its exciting next phase, Sweetness Products will become a full-spectrum women’s and baby product and accessory line with an emphasis on organics and sustainability, thereby significantly expanding our customer base. Sweetness Products combines holistic women’s garments/products with yoga and fashion, woven together with the thread of global history.  We are confident that the strategic blend of these emergent and thriving markets will secure Sweetness Products a loyal and abundant consumer base on an international scale. 

The current Sweetness line includes three main products, with three ancillary accessories, and variations thereof.  We will incorporate upwards of twenty product concepts into the line, fifteen of which will be fully developed and on the shelves by the Holiday season of 2008.

In addition to our signature products the line will include must-have, familiar and lower price-point items in order to introduce new customers to the brand.  We will also begin a strong co-branding effort, aligning with complimentary and well-respected brands.  Examples here include:

  • Conception, Pregnancy and Postpartum gift sets with Mama Mio (high-end, large market natural botanical line), and
  • ‘Sounds of Sweetness’ CD, to be distributed through a World Music label and sold at the point of purchase in Whole Foods or Starbucks

The Team

Gina Zimmerman, the creator and CEO of Sweetness, has single-handedly brought the company to life on the tails of her enthusiasm and vision.  With the invaluable help of her consultants, advisors and early investors, Gina has proven that the Sweetness brand is viable, and has established positive sales trends and a growing positive reputation.

A critical aspect of our relaunch includes the expansion of the core management team to include a second managing partner and co-owner.  This new partner will have experience in growing a sales oriented organization and will take charge of building the Sweetness sales strategy and team. Sweetness is currently screening potential candidates for this role who will strengthen the collective vision of the Company and aid in its implementation.
